What Dutified does
Dutified is an AI-based message testing tool for UK financial services organisations. You give it a customer letter, email, text or web page. 60 AI customers read it. 30 are like your customers: they follow percentages you give, or FCA Financial Lives 2024 figures for the products you offer. 30 are people going through something harder, such as a bereavement or money worries. Each says in their own words what it told them.
You see who struggled and why, the sentences that lost them, and a short pointer to fix each problem. It returns synthetic customer data. It is feedback, not legal or compliance advice. How the scoring works
The choices on Run a test
Each choice changes who reads your test. Dutified keeps a store of 180 AI customers for your organisation. Your 60 are the first of them.
- Product and age lean: pick which of your stored AI customers read it. They are the 60 who best fit that product's customers, leaning younger or older if you ask. The same choices on a retest pick the same people.
- Extra focus on customers in vulnerable circumstances: 45 of the 60 are going through something harder, not 30.
- A saved group or people you pick: they always get a place among the 60. The report opens on them, and everyone else is still shown.
- Checks: Consumer Duty outcomes, vulnerable customers and plain English. Switch one off and that part of the report and its findings are left out.
Dutified finds the problems, your organisation writes the words
Each problem is Must fix, Worth a look or Minor, with a one-line reason. If you want, you can download the letter in Word with suggested changes as tracked changes. You accept or reject each one. Nothing is changed or approved for you.
No customer data
Dutified does not ask for customer data. Personal details found in a communication are replaced with placeholders in your browser or on our server before any AI customer reads it. Organisations may give only an optional customer mix (percentages by age, channel and circumstance).
Test the communication itself, written for customers in general. Template fields such as "[amount]" or "[date]" are fine: the AI customers read an example value in their place, and the report says which. A name field such as "Dear [Customer name]" stays as it is. Public contact details, such as the Financial Ombudsman Service's address and phone number, are kept.
Your data and where the words go
Your tests and results are kept in Dutified's own database. People at your organisation see only your organisation's work. During the pilot, reports are made automatically; nobody at Dutified checks them first. When someone at Dutified opens one of your tests, it goes on your governance trail.
Anthropic is a sub-processor. Its Claude AI models play the AI customers and mark their answers. They get the words of the communication, its subject line and preview text, and the key points, after personal details are replaced. Nothing about you is sent.
During the pilot, the words go to Claude under the Dutified team's own Claude plan, not Anthropic's business service. How long Anthropic keeps them, and whether it may use them to train its models: to be confirmed before the pilot ends. Until then, test public, made-up or demo communications, and assume the words may be kept.
How long Dutified keeps tests: to be confirmed before the pilot ends. Until then, tests are kept. If our check missed a detail, ask the Dutified team to erase a test's words. Privacy notice and Terms of use (both drafts).
How we check it, and what we have not shown yet
Every result records the consumer model version and the settings that decide who the AI customers are, so any result can be traced. Results may vary a little each time a test is run.
Stability. Measured on model 1.0: three made-up letters were each tested three times, each time by 100 different AI customers. Understanding moved by at most 7 points. The verdict did not change. Other scores moved more: Support by up to 12 points and the score for customers in vulnerable circumstances by up to 20 points. Your own letter has not been tested more than once unless you retest it.
Each model version is checked against 20 made-up communications with known verdicts. The model in use now, 1.0, has not passed that check yet. Newer versions have passed it and wait for approval. We also compare the AI customers' answers with published FCA survey results. The latest version checked did not match them closely enough yet, and that work goes on. Until a version in use has passed, treat a verdict as a guide.
Your own details
Dutified keeps a few details about you, the person using it. Read the privacy notice. To see, correct or remove them, use request access with the same work email and start the note with "Remove my details".
Reporting a security problem
Please tell us before anyone else. Email security@dutified.com. Say which page, what you did and what happened. Do not include customer details or passwords. This page and that address are the contacts in Dutified's security.txt.
Email and costs
Dutified does not send email yet: invites and notices appear in the app, and invite links are passed on by hand. Nothing you do in the app adds a charge; what you pay is in your agreement.
Need a person?
Dutified is a product of Wyneid. If your organisation is not using Dutified yet, request access and say what you would like to test. The Dutified team reads every request and replies in person.
